Facility for Genomics and Proteomics

Background

The facility for Genomics and Proteomics is a core facility at the UFS that provides the technological platform and support expertise in the fields of genomics and proteomics. The facility provides equipment for the complete experimental workflow in microarray transcriptomics, chip-on-chip protein genomic distribution, 2D conventional and multiplex electrophoretic proteome analysis, as well as LC/MS/MS, including conventional and nanoflow HPLC nanospray, hybrid triple quadrupole mass spectrometry. The facility works in close collaboration with the Bioinformatics Group, which provides bioinformatics support in data storage and analysis.
